Facility Hire - Frequently Asked Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

There are four spaces available for hire, (a) the Main Hall, (b) the Meeting Room, (c) the football pitch, and (d) the outdoor events area.

These spaces, the kitchen and equipment are best booked online as our booking system is now fully automated. The process is quick and easy if you follow the simple instructions on this page. We advise before completing the form you check our Terms & Conditions of Hire and current Hire Charges. Once the form has been completed and submitted, confirmation of your hire will soon follow. If you do need help or further information please email “we*****@**************************re.org” or telephone 01785 596 543.

When making your booking please ensure you leave enough time for room preparation, the event itself and reinstatement afterwards. The Centre is run by volunteers and we ask all hirers to set up the room as they require and leave it clean and tidy afterwards. We will provide advice regarding lighting, heating, sound equipment, licensing requirements, keeping emergency exits clear, etc. It is important that you state clearly the time you need access to the Centre so that someone is there to open up for you. It is also a courtesy to our volunteers locking the Centre that you keep to your leaving time. Over-running may incur additional charges.

Please indicate on the booking form the equipment you will need the Centre to provide. For example, chairs, tables, use of kitchen and/or crockery, changing rooms and showers. The inventory of equipment available can be found on this page of the website. There may be a small charge for some equipment. If you are bringing your own equipment or decorations it must comply with fire, health and safety regulations.

Hire charges are decided by the Trustees and are set out here. We require a bond to protect against damage or loss but this is returned in full after the event if there is no damage or any losses as a result of your hire. We recommend hirers take out appropriate insurance to cover against damage, loss and injury. You should also provide the necessary number of competent stewards to run the function safely and should there be a need to take fire precautions or an emergency evacuation.

We require a bond to protect against damage or loss but this is returned in full soon after the event if there is no damage or any losses as a result of your hire. If damage or losses have occurred then deductions to cover the costs will be made.

It is important that you state clearly the time you need access to the Centre so that a keyholder is there to open up for you. If you provide a mobile number this will be used to notify you of any delays. Similarly, please let us know if you are delayed or expect to arrive later than stated.

Please let us know as soon as possible if you have to cancel the booking. Depending on the period of notice given will determine the amount of refund. Failure to notify us of a cancellation resulting in a “ No-Show” will forfeit your payment and bond and affect any future bookings you may wish to make.
